Lenny Williams Grammy Award Consideration for Blues Album?

One of the things I love most about music is being able to use different sounds, instruments and influences to tell a story in a way that’s uniquely my own.  After all of these years, I am still inspired to find new ways to deliver soulful Lenny Williams classics that my fans have grown to love for so many years.  When I recorded my Blues Album, Blues, Grooves & Other Moods, it came as a natural progression of my sound.  I’m excited that the Academy has recognized Blues, Grooves & Other Moods and is considering it for a nomination at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards.

If you’re surprised that my Blues album, Blues, Grooves & Other Moods, is being considered from a Grammy Award, then you must not know how deeply rooted I’ve always been in Blues music.  I’ve written songs with the one and only Johnny “Guitar” Watson, a blues great.  I was also on ABC Records with BB King, Bobby Blue Bland and Denice LaSalle; I was fortunate enough to perform with each of them on several occasions.  As if that weren’t enough, I often performed with Johnny Taylor, as well as with the amazing Albert King, one of the great influences of Blues music.  Sharing the stage with Edgar Winter and Freddie King also helped to shape the Blues in my sound.

I hope you all will follow me on this journey to the 2016 Grammy Awards!
